KATHMANDU: A woman who feigned herself as a senior head constable of the Armed Police Office and swindled two persons of fortune has been arrested from Sindhupalchok. The Armed Police Force identified the alleged con woman as Kopila Bohara (24) of Mankha, Sindhupalchok. She allegedly posed herself as junior APF official Manju Budhathoki stationed at the APF’s border security office in Sindhupalchok. Bohara had had borrowed Rs 16,00,000 lakh from Paradesh Rai, a restaurateur, and Rs 60,000 from Laxmi Pradhan of Mahankal. But she did not return the money to them. According to APF, she wore APF uniform and told them she was heading to the United Nations peacekeeping mission to convince her victims. Police said she has been handed over to Nepal Police for further investigation and action.
