Chitwan, April 16 Yeti Airlines won the title of The Himalayan Times Corporate Beach Cricket Tournament here on Saturday. Yeti Airlines defeated WWF by 80 runs in the final played at the Riverside Springs Resort. Batting first, Yeti Airlines scored 122 without losing a wicket before restricting WWF to 42-4. Prafulla Vaidhya top scored for Yeti Airlines with 32 runs off just nine balls, while Sandeep Shrestha played a fiery seven-ball innings scoring 31 runs and returned to take two wickets. Earlier in the first semi-final match, Yeti Airlines defeated Ruslan Cricket by 51 runs. Batting first, Yeti Airlines scored 96-1 and restricted Ruslan Cricket to 45-1. In another semi-final match, WWF beat You We Home by two wickets. Batting first, You We Home scored 71 without losing a wicket, while WWF raced to 77-3 in the ball. Sandeep Shrestha of Yeti Airlines received Man-of-the-series award, while Nabina Kayastha of WWF was named the best female player. Tropical Exotic received the best dress award, while Save the Children took the best team spirit honour and Shanker Group got the best cheering team. Production Manager of The Himalayan Times among others handed over the prizes to the winners. A total of 14 teams took part in the two-day tournament organised by Zohra Sports Management under the sponsorship of The Himalayan Times.
