LALITPUR: Defending champions Nepal Police Club thrashed Mid-western Region 13-0 in the opening match of the Women’s National League Football Tournament here on Sunday. Nisha Sunar scored four goals alone for the NPC, while Niru Thapa and Srijana Khadka completed hat-tricks. Yasodha Lama, Rupa Magar and Amrita Jaisi netted a goal each. In the other match, Eastern Region came from behind to hold Central Region 1-1. Rashmi Kumari put Central ahead in the first minute of the first half injury time, while Rekha Paudel scored the equaliser for Central in the 59th minute.
