Birgunj, May 8 Parsa Chief District Officer Keshav Raj Ghimire inaugurated Traffic Week 2016 amidst a function in Birgunj on Sunday. A rally was held with musical instruments played at Ghantaghar of Birgunj on the first day of the event. Stakeholders from Nepal Police, Narayani Transport Entrepreneurs’ Association, employees, students, community police and officials from Junior Red Cross Circle, among others, were present at the function. In fact, District Traffic Police Office Parsa and Nepal Red Cross Society Parsa jointly organised a week long function to mark World Red Cross Day. CDO Ghimire shed light on the importance of strict implementation of traffic rules to set Birgunj as a civilized city.
