KATHMANDU: Veteran musician Amber  Gurung has been cremated at the Pashupati Aryaghat with full state honours. Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Bhim Rawal draped the national flag on the body Nepali national anthem's composer as final tribute from the state before Gurung's cremation. Gurung's eldest song Kishore lit the funeral pyre. The last rites were performed following both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Hundreds of people had gathered on the bank of the Bagmati River while bidding farewell to the 79-year-old music maestro.
