Kathmandu, June 16 Halchowk Secondary School, Everest Florida School, NK Singh EPS School and Nandi Secondary School registered wins in the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Football Tournament here on Thursday. In the first match played at the Sano Gaucharan grounds, Halchowk edged past Bright Future Secondary School 5-4 in sudden death after the teams were deadlocked at 2-2. Rujit Pudasaini provided the lead to Halchowk in the fourth minute, while Rikesh Tamang doubled the lead in the 24th minute. Prabat Magar reduced the deficit in the 19th minute before Anjit Jung Karki scored in the 62nd minute to push the match to penalty shoot out. Likewise, Everest Florida thrashed Nawa Jeevan 5-0 riding on a brace from Ujjwal Sunar, who scored in the 59th and 66th minutes. Ayushman Shrestha opened the scoring for Everest in the 15th minute. Aryan Ved Achhami scored in the 61st minute and Dhirendra Adhikari added one more in the 68th minute. In another match, NK Singh beat Pegasas English School 5-3 in tie breaker. The match was decided on penalties after the regular time ended at 0-0 draw. In the last match, Nandi defeated Viswa Niketan Higher Secondary School 3-2 in sudden death after a 1-1 draw. Kamal Thami scored for Nandi in the 40th minute, while Nabin Lama equalised in the 64th minute.
