NPI students develop disaster rescuing robot

CHITWAN: Students pursuing their education at the Nepal Polytechnic Institute, Bharatpur, have developed a robot which would be useful in rescuing people stuck in man-made structures during disasters. The sixth sememster Electrical Overseer students in the Institute developed the robot enabled with special information to rescue people languished in land and physical structures broken down in disasters. Student Shyam Krishna Khatiwada led the robot development team. The robot is developed in such a way that it could provide regular audio-visual update about the situation of people buried in the debris of man-made structures.
