KATHMANDU: Police said that as many as 120 cases of bike theft had been recorded from different places of the Kathmandu Valley in last one month. According to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, as many as 120 cases of lost motorcycles were registered with police, among which most of the two-wheelers were lost from the parked areas in different places of the Valley. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Prakash Aryal, said that most of the theft incidents had occurred with the bikes parked at night time or at isolated places. Aryal also informed that many of the bikes had also been lost from hospital and airport areas. Police meanwhile have appealed to public to park bikes in secured places with handles locked. Among the total registered cases of bike theft in the last month, police only found 12 bikes and handed them to their owners.
