Kathmandu, September 24 The Meteorological Forecasting Division today said rainfall was likely to continue until Monday as low pressure area in Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh of India was still active and affecting nearby areas. “After the low pressure area entered Nepal since Friday evening, most parts of the country have witnessed rainfall,” meteorologist at MFD Suvash Rimal said, adding, “Weather will be clear from Monday because south-easterly wind’s impact will slowly decrease from tomorrow.” Heavy rainfall led to water-logging in many the parts of Kathmandu Valley. Traffic movement at Tinkune, MitraPark, Chabahil, Pipalbot, Jorpati, Teku, Bhotebahal, Tripureshwor, Maitighar-Bhadrakali road section, Jamal, Kesharmahal, Putalisadak were affected due to water logging. According to MFD, Kathmandu received 12.5 mm rainfall. Similarly, Dang received  76.2 mm, Pokhara 25.9 mm, Nepalgunj 22.2 mm, Lumle 11.2 mm, Biratnagar 9.7 mm, Dharan 9.1 mm, Jiri 9 mm, Bhairahawa 4.4 mm, Jomsom 2 mm, Dadeldhura 0.7 mm, Simara and Dhankuta 0.5 mm and Biratnagar 0.2 mm rainfall.
