PM assures to take initiatives to complete construction of Phalgunanda Highway

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his commitment to take initiatives to complete construction of Phalgunanda Highway soon. He made the statement during a meeting with a delegation led by Phalgunanda Highway Consumer Committee Chairman Gagan Puri in Baluwatar on Thursday morning. PM Dahal assured that he would consult the National Planning Commission in this regard soon. Other delegation members include Minister for General Administration Keshab Kumar Budathoki and former Minister and CPN-UML leader Agni Kharel. On the occasion, he expressed his hope that the construction of the highway, a shorter route that links Damak of Jhapa to China via Ilam, Panchthar and Taplejung will largely benefit the people mainly of these four districts.
