Damauli, October 15 With the monsoon drawing to a close creating the perfect rafting conditions, there has been a steady pour of tourists eager to navigate the rapids of the Madi and Seti rivers. Tourists from England, France, America, China and Spain, among other countries, have recently been coming to experience rafting in Nepal. Rinku Gurung of Rafting Adventures Nepal said that he had been guiding the tourists from Madi Bridge to Gaighat, a distance of 32 kilometres, each year. Birbal Gurung, a senior guide, said tourists have been rafting for two days. “The Madi and Seti rivers are the tourists’ favorite rafting destinations as the rivers are relatively safe,” he added. According to tourist guides, six rafts with 10 persons each had safely reached Gaighat. They added that some of the tourists continued their journey to Sauraha in Chitwan while others have returned to Kathmandu after the rafting expedition.
