Bhojpur VDC secretaries launch strike demanding facilities

BHOJPUR: Works at all Village Development Committees in Bhojpur district have been affected due to a strike launched by VDC secretaries on Friday. Demanding various facilities, the secretaries have stopped working at offices and handed their VDC stamps to the District Development Committee in Bhojpur. As directed by the VDC Secretary Welfare Protection Centre Nepal Central Committee, the government workers have stopped working, said the Committee's Bhojpur District Chairman Suresh Kumar Dhungel. The services at the VDC would not continue until the Committee's next decision, Dhungel added. There are two municipalities and 54 VDCs in Bhojpur.
