MAHOTTARI: A man died after a tractor turned over and crushed him while fixing a flat tyre in Gaushala Municipality-5 of Mahottari district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Kamal Dev Yadav of Sundarpur, currently residing in Gaushala Municipality-2. Police said the tractor (Ja 1 Ta 1274) lost balance and turned over on him. He was killed on the spot. Yadav was on his way to the Ramnagar-based Everest Sugar Mill ferrying sugarcanes from Gaushala when the incident occurred, informed the Gaushala Area Police Office. Police informed that preparations are underway to send his body to Jaleshwor for postmortem. Meanwhile, a manual worker identified as Jogi Das (60) of Darbhanga in India was found dead on a roadside at Ramnagar of the district. Das, who worked at the Everest Sugar Mill, was found dead at around 8 pm yesterday after he finished his duty at the Mill, the Gaushala APO said. Police have assumed that he was sick as they found a doctor's prescription and medicines near his body. His body has been sent to Jaleshwor for postmortem, police informed.
