RAUTAHAT: Health Minister Gagan Thapa said that he was making efforts to provide quality health services to people across the country by bringing improvements at the district hospitals. Minister Thapa also made it clear that the public health workers, deputed with certain responsibilities in different places of the country, would be taken strong actions if they did not fulfill the duty. The Nepali Congress leader said so during his inspection of the District Hospital and a week-long free health camp jointly organised by the Ministry of Health and the Nepal Army in Gaur of Rautahat district on Friday. Seeing the crowd visiting the health camp, Thapa said that he felt the need of improvement in health services at the District Hospital. He further said that a team from the Ministry was studying the condition and the Hospital would soon be provided with necessary equipment. In a different context, Thapa hoped that demands of United Democratic Madhesi Front would be met and the agitating bloc would participate in the upcoming elections as their talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal were positive yesterday. Minister for Defence Bal Krishna Khand, Nepali Army Lieutenant General Purna Chandra Thapa, and other high-level officials accompanied Thapa during the inspection, said the camp's coordinator Lieutenant Colonel Uday Bajra Bajracharya.
