KATHMANDU: The Election Commission of Nepal said on Thursday that it has decided to consider reviewing its decision on Rastriya Prajatantra Party's statute after the local polls. In response, the ruling party, led by Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa, announced withdrawal of tomorrow's protest programme, central leader Mohan Shrestha informed. The RPP was all set to stage sit-in protest outside the EC's headquarters in Kathmandu and offices in 72 districts tomorrow.  The RPP had been protesting after the Election Commission removed two agendas -- Hindu state and constitutional monarchy -- from the party's statute. A meeting held on Wednesday decided to take a final call on the RPP's repeated demand to review the March 15 decision as the Election Commission is currently busy on the preparations for the local level elections, according to Spokesperson at the Election Commission Surya Prasad Sharma. 'Now, we will go to the people with our original statute,' Shrestha said. READ ALSO:
