CHITWAN: Tourism entrepreneurs in Chitwan and Pokhara would soon be benefitted as both the touristic towns would be connecting via direct air route from September 15. Buddha Air, a private airlines company, would be starting flights to and from Bharatpur Airport to Pokhara from upcoming September 15. The company decided to operate the Bharatpur-Pokhara air services on the request of tourism entrepreneurs and locals irritated by the problem of prolonged traffic jam along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section. According to Manager of Buddha Air Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, an 18-seater Beechcraft will take off from Bharatpur at 10:00 am and at 10:30 am from Pokhara. One-way transport fare is fixed at Rs 3,600 per person. The operation of the flight is expected to help boost up tourism in both towns.
