CHITWAN: CPN-Maoist Centre’s central adviser and popular singer Khusi Ram Pakhrin died of cardiac arrest while attending Prakash Dahal’s condolence meeting and the left alliance’s mass meeting in Bharatpur, Chitwan, on Tuesday. Doctors at Narayani Community Hospital in Bharatpur pronounced him dead when he was rushed to the health facility after complaining of headache. Pakhrin sang a song before the programme started. Pakhrin was born in Rampur, Chitwan, in 1952. He is survived by a wife, a son and two daughters. One of his sons was killed during insurgency. His body has been kept at his Rampur-based residence. CPN-MC is preparing to take the body to the district party office in Bharatpur at 8:00am on Wednesday.
