1 injured in Lahan IED explosion

LAHAN: A person was injured after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in Lahan Municipality of Siraha district on Thursday afternoon. The injured has been identified as Parameshwor Chaudhary (45) of Khadak Municipality-2 in the district. The incident occurred when a improvised Pressure cooker bomb placed in a bicycle exploded in Martyr Chok injuring Chaudhary, at around 2:00 pm this afternoon, according to Police Inspector Jugeshwar Raut, at the Lahan-based Area Police Office. Injured Chaudhary is undergoing treatment in local health facility. According to Inspector Raut, police recovered a pamphlet of Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha-Revolutionary (JTMM-R) from the incident site. However, the relevance of the pamphlet to the case is under consideration and further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
