KATHMANDU: Golden Gate Club won the titles of the first Golden Gate Veterans Basketball Championship here on Saturday. In the above-35 category final, Golden Gate defeated Liverpool 60-54. Champions Golden Gate received Rs 50,000 and Liverpool got Rs 25,000. Golden Gate’s Bipendra Maharjan was named the player of the tournament and received two-way ticket to Hong Kong from Cathay Dragon. A total of four teams competed in the event which was jointly organised by Golden Gate International College and Golden Gate Club.
