One arrested with 4 quintals of marijuana in Makwanpur district

HETAUNDA: A person has been taken into custody by Makwanpur District Police Office (DPO) for illegal possession of four quintals of marijuana. Police arrested Man Bahadur Moktan with four quintals of the contraband from Raksirang Rural Municipality-8 of the district. Acting on a tip-off, a team of police under the command of Inspector Madhu Kumar Thapa from the DPO, seized the marijuana, dried and ready to be sold, during a search of Moktan’s house premises. The team comprising eight officers led by Inspector Thapa, and seven others from the Area Police Office, Manahari, had confiscated the contraband and brought Moktan to Hetauda for further investigation. According to the DPO, Moktan will be charged in accordance to the Narcortic Drugs Control Act 2033.
