According to Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal lawmaker Rajendra Shrestha, Prime Minister Oli and CPN-MC Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal decided to let Thakur administer the oath of office and secrecy to lawmakers at the request of FSF-N. UML leaders urged Yadav to skip the swearing-in ceremony and he did the same. “In the swearing-in ceremony, lawmakers swear to uphold the truth, but Yadav himself says that he is not the senior-most member,” Shrestha said. Yadav told them that he wanted to correct his date of birth in the citizenship certificate, but the government staff at District Administration Office did not do so.
