RAMECHHAP, SEPTEMBER 12
A man died after a vehicle plunged about 250 metres off an inner road near Machedandi in Manthali Municipality-1, Ramechhap, on Thursday.
The Tata Yodha vehicle, registration number Ba Pra 01-026 Cha 4913, was travelling from Ramechhap towards Manthali when the accident occurred.
Police identified the deceased as 28-year-old Sanjit Tamang of Bhimeshwar Municipality-3, Dolakha. He was taken to Manthali Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at around 9pm.
The driver, 30-year-old Pradip Lama of the same locality, sustained minor back injuries and is in stable condition.
Further investigation into the accident is underway, said Kamal Raut, information officer at the District Police Office, Ramechhap.
