Kavre, February 24:
The Dipendra Police Higher Secondary School, Sanga, observed its 22nd Foundation Day and the 31st Education Day by organising a science exhibition and a sports exhibition today on the premises of the school.
Chairman of the Prahari Pariwar Mahila Sangh, Anshu Thapa, inaugurated the science exhibition managed by the students of the eleventh and twelfth grades.
She also awarded the best performing students, academic staff and the non-academic staff with medals and cahs prizes.
She also launched the 19th edition of Deepika, the students’ school magazine and congratulated the school for receiving the Mid-Regional Birendra Vidhya Shield 2062. The students performed a Mass PT, march past and karate, taekwondo and gymnastics.
The organisation of former students of the DPS, the Dipendra Police School Alumni Association of Nepal (DPAAN), pledged to sponsor the hostel and tuition costs for two conflict-affected police personnel children for the academic year 2063 as a token of love for the school. DPAAN president Yadu Man Lama presented the first installment of the fund of Rs 20,000 to the camp commandant of the school, Police Inspector Guru Bishnu Kafle, on the occassion.
