PANCHTHAR: A 12-year-old girl of Hilihang rural municipality residing at her sister's house in Phidim was raped by a man with known ties to her family, officials confirmed. A middle-aged self-proclaimed local shaman who lived in the same house raped the minor girl while she was out to fetch grass, three days ago. Following the incident, the felon, Binod Gurung of Shree Antu in Illam fled the town. Police arrested the accused from Falgunanda rural municipality in the district after a manhunt on Friday.
