President’s message on Jitiya festival

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that festivals of the country help maintain unity in diversity, religious tolerance and social goodwill, hence their authenticity needs to be preserved and continued. In a message today on the occasion of Jitiya festival, President Bhandari has said that the various festivals observed in our country, which are representative of different ethnicity, languages and cultures, have helped protect and promote multiple norms and values. President Bhandari has extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters living at home and abroad who are observing this festival, wishing for happiness of their family and long-life for their loved ones.
