Bhairahawa, November 23 Nepal Teachers’ Federation picketed Province 5 Ministry of Social Development putting forward a 26-point demand in Butwal today. Teachers and staffers of schools had shut down schools to picket the ministry. The agitating teachers and employees took out a protest rally from Chauraha to the Ministry of Social Development. They have demanded that the local levels refrain from formulating acts arbitrarily. The agitating teachers have also demanded collective promotion of teachers working for over ten years and permanent status to temporary teachers and those working on relief quota, among others.
