DHADING: Siddhalek Rural Municipality in Dhading district distributed sixty-one hand tractors also known as mini-power trailers to farmers on Wednesday. With the advent of technology, a majority of farmers in the area are attracted towards this machine for agricultural purpose in recent times. 'It's very hard to find people in rural areas as most of them have left for foreign countries or migrated to urban areas. We handed over the machine to villagers in order to facilitate them in their farming,' said Siddhalek Rural Municipality Chief Prem Nath Silwal. 'Farmers should cultivate their land and use the machine properly. We will support them as per their demand.' After the formation of a local government, it has already distributed hand tractors in 50 per cent grant to farmers of Siddhalek, Gajuri, Benighat Rorang, Galchhi, Thakre among other places in the district. With an objective of increasing productivity, these machines were distributed to farmers for modernisation of the agricultural sector, Silwal added.
