HETAUDA: Chief Attorney of Province 3, Surya Chandra Neupane, has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation in the presence of province Chief Secretary Ananda Raj Dhakal at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.   Senior advocate Neupane stated that working within limitations and not being able to work independently induced him to hand-over his resignation. Likewise, he said he resigned also because the role and responsibilities assigned to him as the Chief Attorney were not like that of a political appointee but as that of a general employee. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) at the province had been expressing dissatisfaction over Neupane working on his own accord. Neupane's resignation comes at a time when Chief Minister of the province, Dormani Poudel, is undergoing medical treatment. The process of his resignation will move forward after CM Poudel returns from his treatment.
