Ramechhap, June 24 Technicians working in Sunapati Rural Municipality have been agitated saying that Ward No 2 Chair Kamal KC had manhandled technicians deployed for reconstruction at the ward in Ramechhap. Assistant Sub-engineer Himal Khadka mobilised by National Reconstruction Authority and the ward chair had thrashed him while he was having dinner at a hotel at 10:00pm on Sunday night. Khadka was accused of posting the list of quake victims entitled to receive reparations on the social networking site without his permission. Issuing a press statement on Monday, all technicians of the rural municipality demanded stern action against KC and security for them. They submitted a memorandum to the DAO on Monday. National Reconstruction Authority Technicians’ Network Ramechhap Chair Arbind Kumar Mahato warned the technicians would halt all reconstruction work if their demands were not met.
