Woman killed on Teej night in West Rukum

JAJARKOT: A man allegedly killed his wife striking her with a sharp curved weapon in West Rukum on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Kamala Budhathoki Khadka (25) of Machhimi, Musikot Municipality-3 in the district, informed District Police Office (DPO), West Rukum. Kamala's husband Navin Khadka (27), who was excessively drunk, attacked her with the weapon which killed her at around 8:00 pm on the night of Teej fasting, stated Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sumit Khadka. Navin, who had fled the scene after his wife's death, was arrested in possession of the murder weapon from a nearby forest at around 2:15 today morning, added DSP Khadka. However, the intention behind the murder is not still clear, said police. Further investigation into the case is underway.
