Kathmandu, October 16 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has asked people to assess works being carried out by the government for the development of the country without any bias. Speaking at a tea reception hosted by the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to exchange Dashain, Tihar and Chhath greetings in Kathmandu today, PM Oli, who is also the party co-chairperson said, “I request critics not to close their eyes to the good works of this government. People from the higher strata of the society might not have noticed much differences between this government and the previous governments. I want them to ask senior citizens and underprivileged sections of the society what they have got from this government.” He said the government had opened bank accounts for every Nepali citizen and expanded its services and facilities to remote areas of the country. PM Oli claimed the campaign to make Nepal a prosperous nation was underway and urged everyone to judge the performance of the government in a fair manner. “New airports are being constructed and hundreds of bridges have been built across the country. Foreign investment has reached over Rs 42.76 billion,” he said. PM Oli alleged that growing misuse of social media had invaded Nepali culture. NCP Co-chairson Pushpa Kamal Dahal stressed the need for all political parties representing the Parliament to translate the slogan of Nepal’s development and prosperity into action.
