The Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) in Rampur has produced a total of 5,906 graduates in the 16 years since its establishment, highlighting its growing role in developing Nepal's agricultural and forestry human resources.
Established on June 17, 2010 (Asar 3, 2067 BS), the university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes in agriculture, veterinary science, fisheries and forestry.
According to Registrar Prof. Dr. Subir Singh, the university has graduated 4,408 bachelor's students, 1,426 master's students and 72 PhD scholars to date. Of the total graduates, agriculture accounts for the largest share, with 3,956 graduates, followed by forestry and veterinary sciences.
Most graduates completed their studies at AFU, while a small number received degrees through international programmes.
