Ishan Timilsina claimed six wickets to help Adarsha Vidya Mandir (AVM) win the third Shree SNB Memorial Inter-school Cricket Tournament today. AVM beat Budhanilkantha by eight wickets.
Budhanilkantha could only muster 84 runs before being all out in the 27.2 overs. AVM chased the total in 19.1 overs losing only two wickets. Binit Shrestha top scored with 26 runs off 50 balls while Lawesh Rawal contributed 12 runs for Budhanilkantha. Man of the match Ishan conceded just 18 runs in his six overs spell while Mandeep Raj Pandey, Pratik Aryal and Dipson Banskota took one wicket each for AVM.
AVM chased the total for the lossof two wickets. Pratik Aryal scored 27 while Indra Kamal Manandhar contributed unbeaten 20 runs.
Ashray Piya of Galaxy Public School won the man of the series award while Indra Kamal Manandhar of the hosts team was declared best batsman of the tournament. Likewise, Binit Shrestha of Budhanilkantha won the best bowler award.
Brihaspati Viday Sadan was awarded with the fair play team award.
Member secretary of the National Sports Council Jeevan Ram Shrestha, president of Cricket Association of Nepal Binay Raj Pandey and principal of AVM Sujita Manandhar gave away the awards. In all 16 teams participated in the tournament played under the knockout system.
