Tiwari, Rijal win

Lalitpur: Maheswor Tiwari and Priti Rijal became the U-18 boys and girls’ singles champions after winning their respective finals in the fifth Jayakar Memorial Junior Open Lawn Tennis Tournament here today. Gaurav Shah won the U-14 boys’ singles title while Saloni Pandey claimed the U-14 girls’s singles championship. Alisha bagged the U-10 girls’ singles title while Kencho Palden won the U-12 girls’ singles section. Kishor Limbu claimed the U-10 boys’ singles title while Niraj Wagle won the U-12 boys’ title. — HNS

Anup in final

KATHMANDU: Anup Bhakta Joshi beat Bibek Shrestha and Pradeep Rokka edged Bibek Pun to enter the U-16 singles final of the United Cup Table Tennis Tournament. Renuka Khatri and Sarita Magar also entered the U-14 girls’ final. Sunita Lama and Asmita Shrestha entered the U-12 girls’ final. — HNS
