AAN’s appeal

Kathmandu: Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) and Signage Association of Nepal (SAN) have urged the advertisers to avoid use of electricity on hoarding and billboards at different places and along the highways. Issuing a joint press statement, AAN and SAN urged advertisers to help save excess usage of electricity in hoarding and billboards, citing that the country is facing an acute shortage of power and long hours of load shedding. — HNS

Gold hits record

KATHMANDU: The price of yellow metal hit historic high today in the local market. It nearly touched Rs 23,000 for a tola, in the domestic market, while in the international market, it hit $947 per ounce for the first time in history. In the recent days, the gold price has been crossing all the historic barriers. — HNS
