Nepal Distilleries Pvt Ltd has launched Khukri Spice Rum, a special blend of select spices and Himalayan herbs, as a brand extension to its widely popular Khukri Rum and Coronation Rum, the latter available in hand-crafted dagger-shaped bottles.
This spiced flavour has been introduced with an alcoholic content of 43.05 per cent v/v (250 UP) on popular demand from the International market, states a press release. The smart label-design of the bottle along with its unique cork-seal, especially imported from Portugal gives Khukri Spice Rum a distinctive stylish look, in Sync with modern global trends.
Khukri Spice Rum has already been despatched last month to the UK and Japan with orders coming in from the USA and Hong Kong. Apart from exports, the company has also planned to make this specially flavoured Rum available with Guala-seals selectively in the domestic market as well to test-market the product and evaluate response from the consumers.
The unique blend of the Khukri Spice Rum gives the product and aroma which is refreshingly pleasant to the senses. It’s full-bodies test mixes very well with juices and fruits which no other Rum can match. The balanced additives further provide and overall extremely testful drink, claims the company. “It is recommended to take with cola and lots of ice topped with fresh mint-leaf.”
For the initial launch it will be available in 750ml bottles only with a consumer-friendly off-the-shelf price of Rs 460 per bottle.
