Three abducted

RAJBIRAJ: Three persons were abducted from as many places in Saptari and Mahottari districts on Friday night. An armed gang of seven abducted Bhagwati Das, 40 of Bamgamakatti-2, from his house, his family said. Another gang abducted Om Prakash Khang, 12, of Rampurmahalniya-6, from his house. Elsewhere, an armed gang abducted chemist Chandreshwor Mishra, 50, of Ekhariya-9, while he was returning home the same night. — HNS

Tiger carcass found

HETAUDA: Carcass of a tiger was found near Chitwan National Park along the East-West Highway on Friday. The carcass was lying on the road-side near the Sunachuri Katlekhola stream of Manahari Village Development Committee. — HNS

Tarai activist killed

BHAIRAHAWA: Chinak Bhar of of Chhipagarh in Rupandehi was shot dead by an unidentified gang in Parasijuwa of Dhakdhai on Friday night. According to the police Chinak was involved with an armed group operating in the Tarai. — HNS
