UML-Maoist pact
DHANKUTA: The CPN-UML and Maoists reached a six-point accord on Monday to settle disputes that ensued after clashes between YCL and YF during the FSU election. Both parties agreed not to be hostile to each other. They also agreed to facilitate in fixing a new date for FSU election in Dhankuta Multiple Campus. — HNS

DHANGADHI: Over 10 students, including former FSU president, were injured in a clash between ANNISU-R and other student unions in Ghodaghodi Multiple Campus on Monday. 3 dead in accidents
BIRATNAGAR: Govinda Ghimire, an engineer with the Duhabi branch of Nepal Electricity Authority, died on the sport when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with his motorbike at Nemuba in Hattimudha-6 in Morang on Monday. Ghimire, a resident of Biratnagar-16, was heading to his office when the truck hit him, Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, said. Meanwhile, Sachin Rai (18) and Kumar Tamang (22) of Itahari-5 died when their motorbike collided with a parked roller at Itahari in Sunsari on Sunday night. The duo succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. — HNS
10 hurt in mishap
Syangja: Ten persons were injured when a bus and minibus collided at Bhalupahad in Putalibazaar-7 of Syangja on Monday. Dil Bahadur BK, Lila Thapa, Kamal Magar and Ram Prasad Pokhrel, who were critically injured in the incident, were taken to Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara, for treatment. — HNS
Two held with hashish
BAGLUNG: Two persons were held on the charge of smuggling hashish here on Monday. Hemlal Kandel, 48, and Chandra Bahadur Roka, 54, of Tara VDC-2 of Baglung district were held with two kg of hashish, the police said. — HNS
