Kathmandu, March 28:

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today urged the government to end impunity. It also urged the government to implement its recommendations and bring the human rights violators to book.

A statement released by NHRC accused the government of not punishing the security personnel who shot dead Dayaram Pariyar, an NHRC staffer in Janakpur based office. Pariyar had succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment in TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. A local Ram Chandra Yadav was also killed in the same incident.

NHRC also urged the PM, Home Minister, IGP and other law-enforcing agencies to implement its recommendations and the decision of Supreme Court that had convicted the culprits.
