Kathmandu: Subendu Pandey, Sandeep Shrestha and Bidhan Giri all scored a half century each as National Campus beat Shankar Dev Campus by 59 runs while Tinkune Multiple Campus dispatched Asirwad Multiple Campus by 42 runs in the Inter-college Twenty20 Cricket Tournament here today. Electing to bat first, National Campus scored 224-4 in 20 overs before dismissing Shankar Dev for 165 runs. Bidhan gave the early momentum for the National Campus with a fluent 57 off 38 balls before Subendu and Sandeep exploded to pose a huge total. Subendu struck 66 off 39 deliveries while Sandeep made unbeaten 63 from just 25 balls. Bikal Shahi claimed two while Rabindra Chand and Suman Uday took one wicket each for Shankar Dev. In reply, Bikal Shahi top scored for Shankar Dev with 24-ball 31. Karan Ghimire (29), Deepak Lama (23) and Rabindra Chand (15) also chipped in valuable runs. Bidhan also shone with the ball taking 3-18 and won the man of the match award. Bivek Dali also took 3-24 for National Campus. Sarad Marasini, Aayush Sharma and Subendu also bagged one wicket apiece. In the other match, Tinkune Campus made 140-6 in their allotted 20 overs and restricted Asirwad for 98 runs in 17.2 overs. Akshaya Shrestha top scored for Tinkune with a swift 43 from 31 balls while Ram Pradhan and Bigyan Thapa contributed 25 and 20 runs respectively. Gaurav Pathak was the pick of the Asirwad bowlers with 3-33. Suraj Kshetri also claimed two and Rajit Singh one wicket for Asirwad. In reply, Prashanna Shakya (25) was the leading runs scorer for Asirwad. Suraj Kshetri also contributed 15 and Ramesh Saud not out 14. Man of the match Dipendra Younjan took 4-18 for Tinkune Campus. Bigyan and Ram Pradhan also picked up two wickets each while Sandip Basnet and Akshaya Shrestha bagged one each.
