Mechi Customs Office has collected Rs 11.58 billion in revenue in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, achieving 96.06 percent of its target.
The office had aimed to collect Rs 12.55 billion by the end of Falgun. Major contributions include Rs 4.20 billion from VAT on imports and Rs 4.89 billion from customs duty.
The annual revenue target for the fiscal year 2082/83 is set at Rs 18.87 billion, according to Information Officer Ishwar Kumar Humagain.
