NEFFA to Bangkok KATHMANDU: A six-member delegation of Nepal Freight Forwarders’ Association (NEFFA) led by its president Rameshwor KC has left for Bangkok to attend the 36th executive committee meeting of the Federation of Asia Pacific Air Cargo Association (FAPAA). The meeting will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 4 to 6. During the visit, the team will also attend the UNESCAP meeting of chief executives of National Freight Forwarders and Logistics Associations, International Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Association (FIATA) and the 3rd RAP meeting of the association. — HNS

Diyalo’s shares KATHMANDU: Diyalo Bikas Bank has appointed Ace Development Bank as its issue manager. According to a press release, Ace CEO Siddhant Raj Pandey and Diyalo president Lok Raj Pant Diyalo signed an agreement on behalf of their respective organisations on Sunday. During 18 months of its establishment, Diyalo has collected a total deposit of Rs 270 million. — HNS

NCC meets PM KATHMANDU: Surendra Bir Malakar, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) met Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and urged him to postpone the decision to bring property tax act into operation. According to Malakar, there must be proper planning before the tax is implemented. During the meeting, Malakar also asked for establishing a multi-VAT system. VAT is a major source of income for the government. — HNS
