BHAKTAPUR: Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharat Singh Bhandari today pledged to assist in tourism development in Nagarkot under the partnership programme. Inaugurating a day-long fair organized by Mount Everest Youth Club in Nagarkot, Minister Bhandari said Nagarkot could also be developed as a world tourism site apart from being a local tourism hub. He said economic prosperity could be attained by increasing employment opportunities by promoting Nagarkot as a eco-tourism centre. Bhaktapur DDC chairman Surendra Pratap Shah, Nagarkot-Naldum Tourism Development Committee chairman Ram Shanker Dhoju and secretary Deepak Lamichhane said Nagarkot could be promoted as a trekking and religious tourism area. Club chairperson Binod Shah presided over the programme.
