Hubby axed to death PANCHTHAR: Dil Kumari Nembang of Chilingding VDC, Ward No 5 of killed her husband blowing with axe on Friday night. Husband Naindra Nembang aged 40 was killed by wife Dil Kumari over a family dispute, according to DPO, Panchthar. The convict has been taken under control and the deceased have been sent for autopsy, said police. Four held with arms RAJBIRAJ: A patrol of District Police Office, Saptari, arrested four persons along with arms from Hanumannagar of Rajbiraj on Friday night. The arrested are Dambar Sharma of Bakdhuwa- 1, Bijay Kumar Yadav of the same locality, Shiv Narayan Mandal and his son Shyam Sundar Yadav of Babhangamakatti- 3. Police said it seized one home-made pistol and its bullets from the detainees. Student abducted RAJBIRAJ: An unidentified gang abducted a student in Saptari on Friday night. Roshan Dev (21) of Sakarpura, a student at the Regional Engineering Campus, Janakpur was forcibly taken away by a gang of 8-10 persons from his rented room, according to his father Kamal Narayan Dev. Issuing a statement on Saturday, Kamal Narayan has appealed human rights activists and media persons to take an initiative for the son’s release. Three poachers held GULARIYA: A special patrol team from the Bardiya National Park arrested three hunters along with a rhino horn on Friday. The arrested are Purna Bahadur Mahara and Sona Rokaya of Surkhet and Indra Bahadur Rana of Naubasta of Banke. Acting on the tip off, the team nabbed them from Dhanboji of Nepalgunj. According to an officer of the park, they have been kept at Thakurdwar for investigation. 1 dies in road mishap KHOTANG: A person was killed when a truck met with an accident at Shekhuwa of Chihandanda-1 of Khotang on Saturday morning. Truck owner Prithvi Narayan Sundas died when a truck coming towards Diktel from Bhojpur overturned, said the police. Police said the driver has been absconding after the accident.
