Trade ties with China Kathmandu: Nepal China Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha today requested the Commission for education, science, culture and public health standing committee of Guangzhou Municipal people’s congress’ deputy director Zhou Guosheng to open Chinese banks in Nepal. UFL bonus shares KATHMANDU: United Finance Limited organised its 15th AGM at Nepal Tourism Board. Company president Basanta Kumar Chaudary presented the annual report during the meeting. The company has issued 12.5 per cent bonus shares and at the same time targetted to increase the issued capital up to Rs 80 million and paid-up capital to Rs 35.0625 million. RMBFL’s AGM KATHMANDU: Royal Merchant Banking Finance Limited is going to conduct its eighth AGM on December 19 at Nepal Tourism Board. The board has proposed 10 per cent bonus shares, 0.5263 per cent cash dividend for the fiscal year 2008-2009 and 1:1 rights share after issuance of bonus shares to shareholders. Agents’ training KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited organized a four-day life insurance agents’ training at Pokhara. At the end of the programme, FNJ central member Rabindra Bastola distributed the death claim amount to the relatives of the insurers. Union’s plea KATHMANDU: Nepal Trade Union-Independent has requested to fulfill the demands made by daily wage workers as they are on hunger strike till death since five days. Also, the union asked for immediate action against those involved in the attack on journalist Tika Bista. Sanima to upgrade KATHMANDU: The fifth annual general meeting of Sanima Bikash Bank held in Kathmandu on Thursday decided to upgrade the bank to development status. The bank has announced five per cent cash dividend and 1:1.5 right shares to investors. It is promoted by non-resident Nepalis and has extended its service to Inaruwa of eastern Nepal from Friday. It has nine branches and four ATM counters in the country.
