Suzuki Gixxer SF to be launched on August 20

KATHMANDU: VG Automobiles, authorised distributor of Suzuki bikes, is all set to introduce its much-awaited sports bike — Gixxer SF in Nepal on August 20. The company claims that the latest premium street sports bike will take the Nepali two-wheeler market by storm.

Gixxer SF is Suzuki’s flagship model for the Nepali market boasting pioneering style and sophisticated sporty appearance, combined with exceptional riding experience and the best fuel efficiency in the segment. Embodied in a sharp and edgy look, Gixxer SF has been developed in the same wind-tunnel where the legendary Hayabusa, GXX-R and MotoGP machine are developed.

The fairing has been designed to give maximum wind protection to the rider reducing turbulence and drag, providing great aerodynamic efficiency. The outstanding design of the bike provides a higher down force for stable braking and lower drag for better handling in high-speed range.

Gixxer SF borrows the same single-cylinder air-cooled 155cc engine from its sibling. The engine generates a maximum power of 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. But with the SF weighing just four kg more than its street sport twin, performance too is similar to its naked sibling. Its top speed is around 127 kmph.

The bike’s additional attractions include telescopic front suspension and monoshock suspension, swing arm at the rear. The new Gixxer SF is available in three different colour options — Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White and Glass Sparkle Black. A limited special Moto GP edition of the bike is also available. The introductory price for Gixxer SF is Rs 276,900.
