BIRATNAGAR: The Biratnagar eastern region office of Nepal Industrial Development Corporation has blacklisted 14 industrial and commercial firms for not paying back loans.

Office chief Kamlesh Thakur said the corporation took the move after the firms did not pay back loans despite frequent reminders from the corporation.

According to the corporation, those blacklisted are Baba Feeds Pvt Ltd, Morang; Mala Feeds, Itahari; Shanti Cinema, Morang; Kanjirowa Resort, Dhankuta; Kanchanjunga Cheese Pvt Ltd, Shyam Chaitulal Cinema, Saraswati Metal, Rajbiraj; Bhushan Talkies, Morang; Dharan Auto Engineering Workshop, Anamika Cinema, Dhulabari; Tirupati Paper, Morang and Shuvlaxmi Furniture, Damak.

The corporation said the blacklisted farms have loans dues ranging from Rs 1.5 million to Rs 8 million.
