140 cargo vehicles enter Nepal as supply gradually eases

KATHMANDU: As obstructions at the Indo-Nepal border points are gradually being lifted, more cargo vehicles entered Nepal, on Saturday.

As many as 140 vehicles including six tankers of petrol and diesel and two bullets of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas entered Nepal via Sunauli border point, according to the Bhairahawa Customs Office.

Most of the customs points, however, are still closed due to various reasons, according to the officials.

No any vehicle has crossed two major customs points of Biratnagar and Birgunj till now.

Meanwhile, the eastern border point of Kakadbhitta has been shut considering elections in the bordering West Bengal elections.
