KATHMANDU: The 36th annual general meeting of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd (SCBNL), chaired by Zarin Daruwala, chairperson of the bank, was successfully held here on Sunday.

SCBNL has recorded an operating profit and net profit of Rs 3.24 billion and Rs 2.26 billion respectively for the financial year 2021-22, as per a media release. At the close of fiscal 2021-22, the bank was able to post a growth of 24.8 per cent on its risk assets over the previous year, to reach Rs 91 billion.

Similarly, deposits grew by 6.2 per cent to reach Rs 102 billion. As proposed by the board of directors, the AGM approved a payment of cash dividend of 16.51 per cent of paid-up capital as at July 16, 2022 to the shareholders of the bank for fiscal 2021-22.

The AGM also appointed a new public director - Avinash Agrawal, a businessman with diverse investment portfolio.
