Hetauda, August 17 :

Central Regional Food Technology and Quality Control Office (CRFTQCO), Hetauda has registered cases against 66 local businessmen through the Local District Administration (LDA) for adulterating inedible items in daily food stuffs.

Action was taken against them on the basis of samples of daily food items collected from nine places of the city.

Earlier, the officer had tested 901 samples of daily food items collected from the bazaar in the last fiscal year 2062-63. The report of the test showed 129 items were mixed with inedible colour and sand.

The office has provided services to local consumers to teach them methods to collect such samples and statistics relating to food quality test and analysis.
